Sorry, can we try that again, I didn’t get notification by email, so I could not reply directly to you. The pdf document is just under 2meg.

You have to use whatever is available. Solar just would not pay off here.
I want to put a corn burner in my garage. My brother says no way corn is to expensive. But he has big ole round bales of hay and wants to build a outdoor boiler that he can just put a round bale in. Lol. You run what you have.
Use every advantage you can. Just make sure the juice is worth the sqeeze. I worked for a place that gave me a 10 million dollar budget for just about anything I asked for, however I had to show it paid for itself in 5 years. Ever since then I decided that if someone had that kind of coin, they must know what they are talking about with money, so I adopted it also. If it doesn’t pay for itself in under 5 years (prefer 2-3) it’s money down the drain.

Yes, in some cases car alternators do cause interference due to shielding and the type of diodes used. What is normally recommended is a ferrite bead or two inline with the power connection from the vehicle battery. And make sure that the vehicle has a real good ground. Then locate the HAM antennas as far from the engine compartment as possible.
The wind turbine frequency interference is a known issue for some time that’s why you never see power lines or radio towers anywhere near them.
Interesting information on the 2 volt batteries I never would have even looked at them. I will dig into them and see how they could work for me. Thanks.

Typically the land is leased for a commercial wind or solar farm…a win for the land owners.

Typically the wind generators are owned by the manufacturers…they only sell the power to utility companies and absorb the maintenance-repairs-upgrades. Not sure about Texas rules…:face_with_monocle:

“Climatic Destabilization” means extreme swings in high and low temps…it’s happening everywhere…:joy::joy::joy:

Idk. I’m not sure one way or another. I tend to think it’s all cycles. I remember being a kid and those winters were harsh and the summers were too. I agree the solar activity has been more pronounced during that part of the cycle and so maybe it’s true the other way and it’s becoming more pronounced during the lesser sun spot cycle. However that probably doesn’t have much bearing on climate change from an earth standpoint as it does from the sun’s standpoint. Hot, cold, dark, light in the end it is the sun that decides those things.
I’m just not sure and I come from a long line of farmers and believe me, they have been sitting around for a long time talking about the weather.
Fact if you ever find yourself in children of the corn country, all you have to do is strike up a conversation about the weather and you will fit right in. Lol
In the end the idea of climate change is right. Take care of the rock because it’s the only one you have. Just don’t get to freaky about it. Don’t lean to hard one way or another. It’s like pissing out of a canoe, it’s all about balance.

@MrMachinist - you call that fun, hauling someone on a SneauxSaucer behind an ATV? Try hauling your two nephews on a toboggan behind your Bronco II at 35mph on city streets while you’re behind the wheel hammered on hot chocolate & Kahlua. Good time…good times…

Ah, the things we could get away with back in the 80s/90s. :face_with_head_bandage::sunglasses::face_with_head_bandage::sunglasses::face_with_head_bandage:

Well we are supposed to get to mid 30’s here pretty soon. Can’t come soon enough, the wife and I both have a lot of old injuries that don’t play nice with the cold. My hip and her neck have had us gimping around here and not sleeping for a week or so.
Getting old isn’t much fun, but it beats the alternative I guess.

And just like that gas goes up $.18 a gallon overnight. Up $.52 since the election. Coincidence? IDTS.
Refineries not running is the excuse not the reason.

Yeah, you should look at the price of oil chart for the last month. It has nothing to do with winter weather, that chart is like a super otter taking off.

Want to take bets on gasoline hitting $4/gal by the end of the year? I mean everywhere, not just Commiefornia. This shxt isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.

Remember when the Saudis tried crashing the market and our president Trump said really, then we will just fill our reserves with that cheap oil and stabilized the market?
Yeah good times.
Meanwhile Joe over there is got this grand scheme and cutting jobs and raising the price of everything. What a twit.

Heads up brothers, fuel goes up the cost to plant and raise crops goes up. Corn goes up, feed goes up, feed goes up, food goes up.
Take care of you and yours.

Now, I’m thinking the title of this post needs to be tweaked somewhat.
