Trigger spring kit shield 40

I just installed the trigger spring kit on my M&P shield 40.
The striker block will not reset after it was reassembled.
Does anyone have any suggestions about why it no longer works? When I push forward on the striker the firing pin goes into the chamber.
Could the new spring be too weak?
Could I have done something wrong?
Am I going to have to take the sight back off and replace the striker block spring with the original one?
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Gary I think one of your springs popped out of place .
Check the posit of your springs, make sure they are placed correctly.

Thank you. I guess I will have to remove the rear sight and check the spring. When I remove the back plate, the striker block pops back up and locks the striker.

use a dowel rod to push it backdown and don’t pull the trigger until it is all back together

Use the dowel rod to push the striker block down? Is this after I remove the rear sight? Sorry if I don’t understand but if I have to take the rear sight off again it is a real chore as you probably already know.

Gary I was thinking of the wrong gun. forget the dowel rod, let me take mine down and I will check.

I called MCARBO today and they are sending me a new striker block spring. They were very helpful and have already mailed me a new one.
