Ruger GP100 with MCARBO trigger spring kit fitted

Hi, I installed the trigger spring kit and the trigger is great, smooth and light. However when I use Fiocci small pistol primers in my reloads I get about a 30 percent failure to fire. Is it because the primers are too hard or is the spring too light? seems fine with factory ammo.

Most likely it’s due to the primer sitting deeper in your reloads than it is in factory ammo. Could try “softer“ primers as well.

Further to my post, i have started using Federal primers and find they are very reliable, no hang fires at all.I was using Fiocci primers which are obviously too hard.
