RM380 Trigger Spring Kit - Trigger slips w/MCarbo sprint

I just purchased and installed the MCarbo Remington RM380 Trigger spring kit. After confirmed proper installation, the trigger “slips” very soon in the trigger pull and fails to retract and release the hammer. Returning the factory spring, the issue does not occur. I’ve done my best to take a picture of the two springs side by side (attached). The main differences are notated on the picture. When installed, the factory spring appears to “stick up” a bit from the frame until the grip is reinstalled and you can slightly feel the spring being pushed against the frame. With the MCarbo spring, when installed it appears to lay flat to the frame and it also looks to have less pronounced geometry changes on the long leg.

If anyone has experienced this issue, I’d appreciate feedback on possible causes/solutions. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum, stay tuned, I’m sure somebody here has trouble shooting experience on this.
Cheers,

@Moosecall Thanks for the reply. To add some additional notes, when I remove the grip after installing the Mcarbo spring, everything is still connected and in the correct place (spring, trigger bar, etc.). So my best guess is somehow the trigger bar is slipping off the hammer engagement during the trigger pull…but when resetting the trigger everything still in place pushes it back into position to “try again”. Again, just a guess based on what I’ve observed

Sorry I can’t help and surprised nobody else has jumped in.
I used the search tool on this site and didn’t come up with any relevant hits.
If your able to, try a call to M*CARBO and explain what’s happening, perhaps they have made repairs on others?
Cheers,

Here’s an old post from another forum but it describes the issue I’m having and some possible solutions.
