M*CARBO Brotherhood

Red Dot Sights For S2K Optic Mount

Hi all,
I just installed my optic mount, and I Found out that my VISM SPD red dot was too big for the mount (see attached pictures). What red dot sights are you guys running with the mount?

@ChrisNelson
Thank you for getting out this great product.
It mighy be a good idea if you can list all the red dot sights that the forum mentions working somewhere for people to reference at a later time.

Thank you all in advance with your guys/gals suggestions.

I just put my mount on yesterday and I have the vortex sparc ii. It co-witnesses nicely and Vortex is a good company!

I purchased the Vortex Sparc AR and have the same problem

Yeah the “ar” version has the battery compartment underneath. The sparc II has a 2032 battery on the side, so it can sit lower.

@Munkey,
I am running the Holosun 403 Elite GL and the Holosun 503 GU. Both came with a tall mount and a short mount. Using the short mount it will cowitness perfectly on the MCARBO Optic mount.

I’ve got a Holosun HS515C on mine. I removed the riser to lower it so that the mount doesn’t block the iron sights.

Will it work any other way or is that the only way it sits?

Just mounted my Sig Romeo5 and the sight is slightly off center to the barrel. Appears the optic mount is off

center on my S2000. I’l try to get some pictures posted. Any one else seen this?
Still practicing with pictures.

@jhaig99 My mount serial number 00072 leaned to the right slightly. I put a thin brass washer on the two top posts to move it to the left. I attribute this to the crappy plastic forearm on this 3 year old subby. I want @Dred’s aluminum forearm!

I added pictures to my previous post. When sighting with iron sights or Romeo, I have to rotate the entire rifle a few degrees counter clockwise for all to line up. I’m thinking my front sight may be off. Not sure how to change it.

@jhaig99 Get your instruction manual out or go to Kel-Tec’s website. I only say this because they used 2 different front sights on the gen-2. Instructions and pictures make it easy.:+1:

I too have been running a sparc2 but fear that it will add to much bulk when folded for my liking with the new mount I’m impatiently waiting on, so I got one of these new Swampfox kingslayer as another option to try out.
