M*CARBO Brotherhood

PSA Dagger, Anyone lucky enough to get one?

PSA finally had these in stock very briefly, recently.
A Glock 19 Gen 3 clone that is IMHO far superior.
In fact, it is the only Glock I’ve ever wanted to buy.

Sootch00 did a review on Youtube last week.
PSA Dagger 9 Gun Review : Was it Worth the Wait?
Made me want one even more.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been talked about here.
It’s a very sought after firearm at $299 price tag.

Im intrigued. I think as a Gen3 fanboy, this needs to go on my wishlist.

I bought a PSA complete upper once. Never again. Buy quality, pay once.

PSA is great for getting guns into the hands of budget shooters.
But they take too many shortcuts on their builds, mostly uppers.
Like pressing barrels nuts onto receivers, or so I’ve heard.
Their lower builds are okay. I tend to buy AP or Anderson.

Some of their other stuff is actually very good, like the Dagger.
And their AK are pretty decent from what I’ve read.

I’ve been using PSA stuff for years, only ever had one issue which was resolved quickly by PSA.
Their barrels are made by FN in Columbia SC as are a lot of their other stuff.
The quality of their uppers and lowers is comparable to other manufacturers out there.
There will always be someone who has a problem but then they produce a butt load of components for online and brick and mortar retail sales.
I had a Glock once that absolutely sucked, they made it right eventually, doesn’t mean all Glocks are bad.
I’ll continue to buy from PSA, great parts made right here in South Carolina.:us:

I’ve never seen that and I have seven PSA uppers.
All of mine are good, some of them are “budget” most are FN cold forged barrels in .556, .300 Blackout and 9mm.
They go bang when they should which I like.

Just ordered one of these to go in a PSA lower:

I had a couple of hours work into the upper before it would fit any of my lowers including my Colt. And working with metal is my business. Neither pin hole was in the right place or the right size for starters. A junior high machine shop student would have flunked turning in a project like that.

I had it showed to me on one upper that someone else owned.
Completely out of spec and other issues I can’t recall.
And was told it was a common issue.

I have a few PSA uppers and lowers, myself, no issues.
And I’ve swapped mine around with no fitment issues.
But I did quit buying them when I saw the other guy’s.

Go there and get notified when they are back in stock.
And be quick to get there after notification. LOL

I’ve never seen that and I’ve had maybe 25-30 uppers through my hands.
If they were all that bad PSA would be out of business by now.

This was for a cheap plinker but very poor quality. Any more I might do will be Aero Precision. Everything I have touched has been very nice stuff.

The quality at Colt has been poor for the past decade, hopefully will be better under CZ.

I don’t own anything that new from Colt so have not seen it.

I do and I have. It’s well documented.

Not surprised. Understand there is very little keeping them in business.

Single Action Army’s are the only thing they make that would be a loss.

Not sure of their situation because its been so long since I paid attention but knowing the labor situation in the North East they probably have a real problem there in the name of a union.

There’s a lot now, they are owned by CZ.
From what I understand the unions have been appeased and CZ intends to run the business as a stand alone concern.
Time will tell.

I must have gotten lucky because I have a 5-year-old Colt AR carbine and it’s been excellent, no problems at all.

You did get lucky!
One of my Colt 1911’s is less than stellar.

As it is a Gen3 clone, all parts are interchangeable.

I think there will be a Glock 17 version, also.
Or wait for an optic ready version to come out.
There’s gonna be a version with 1911 grip angle.
Eventually there will be some good options.

Personally I want this version and no upgrades.
Well, compared to Glock, it is an upgrade. LOL

Now y’all got me kinda worried. Bought one of the last Colt CAR-A3 H-Bar Elites, model # 6724 about 5 years ago. Still unfired, NIB. One heavy pig to tote around so I figured I would just keep it as an investment.

Should I shoot it just to check it and be sure it works or just leave it be?
