Anyone familiar with the Pietta 1873 revolver?
It is a single action, reproduction, western style pistol.

What caliber we talking? Classic 45 long colt, 38/357 or one of the old west odd ball calibers. There quality made reproductions. I got a buddy who has a pietta 45lc with 7 1/2" barrel and a 357 with 4 3/4" barrel.

45AP/45LC. Convertible.

Nice choice so you can have the 45lc to be more authentic and can have the 45acp to save on the cost of ammo. The acp ammo usually stays around half the price of long colt ammo.

I reload 45 and looking to run wad cutters.

I’ve had the 7.5" .22lr for over 3 years, 6-700 rounds through it, no issues and the grips/finish still look like new.

Pietta are pretty decent. I run Uberti SAAs or Pietta 1858 rem conversions for Cowboy action shooting. My 1858s being my favorites. Mine are 45lc.
Being revolvers wadcutters will work fine in them.
