New Florida Assault Weapon Ban Bill 370 - Can we talk?

Are we able to post on this form information on the New Florida Assault Weapon Ban Bill 370?

Thanks Brothers

I will leave a definitive answer for the Moderators but, generally speaking, posting news of potential interest to the Brotherhood – without arguing about it – has generally been viewed as acceptable. So noting that an “assault weapons” ban has been introduced in Congress, etc. would be fine while arguing that only an imbecile with no knowledge of the 2nd Amendment could ever support such nonsense might be a problem.

We could start by teaching said imbeciles that the A in AR DOES NOT STAND FOR ASSAULT
Edit: Introduced by a MILS. No surprise there. Since the Rs are still the majority in both houses and we have an R governor I doubt this will ever see the light of day for the time being. This azzhat also introduced another bill to register all ARs and large capacity mags.

Wanted to pass along info on our 2nd Amendment rights in Fl… It is harsh and would certainly impact M*Carbo and KelTec that are based in FL.

If the YouTube link isn’t allowed, I’ll edit it out.
Thanks -

[EDIT]
I just found this site covering the bill
https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/370

There is a link there as well to view the text and dl a PDF

They should have to estimate the cost of enforcing the bill. It isn’t going to be cheap. The taxpayers deserve better use of their money.

The problem with topics like these is things very often go downhill politically very quickly with tons of mudslinging. That’s why we don’t really allow political topics here. However, IF (and that’s a big ask) things can be kept to the topic, which is definitely gun related, then things can progress as long as it remains civil or it will all go away and, possibly, take the worst offenders with it. LOL

Thank you Wedge… I do understand that management hassle of the dialog potentially escalating.
Sure I’d love to hear thoughts from our brotherhood, but really my first interest was that this would serve at minimum as a PSA… I’d hate to see this bill pass and then half of us double blink and say… “Where the heck did that come from afterwards” :+1:t2:

I have really started enjoying this site recently and I don’t say that about many sites.

And I also want to stay away from politics. As Hunter stated it’s very important to be in the know as to where these individuals are and what they are trying to do to the gun laws.

Isn’t this site mostly about our guns. I think and hope we can stay away from left, right center and what ever party affiliation and talk about the seriousness of the country’s future in reference to firearms laws in general. As well as point out some of these individuals that basically hate things we care about.

Just think a second … how easy is it to discuss any major subject that politics somehow comes in a screws up the discussion? It’s not easy.

I just hope we can keep our BB guns in the next four years.

@LarrySr

Unfortunately I don’t think there is anything these days that is open for discussion that doesn’t get politicized. There’s just no getting around how far these anti 2A socialists will go to push their agenda. We must stand our ground and push back harder.

Just saying, if you don’t have much to do check out and look at this H. R. 127 from our buddy in Alabama

Just a introduction, but scary as he??

That bill has no chance of passing, its like an 8 year olds christmas wish list, theyre just throwing in every single wish to make it look like theyre compromising when the negotiations start.

Especially in Fl. where we have a governor who knows and understands our Constitution.

Its a federal bill, but landed in this thread …

If it’s a federal bill then it has a very good chance of passing. The MILS control all 3 branches of government ATM. JMHO

Yes you are correct about being Federal.
My mistake.
I jumped to the discussion about bills that are being introduced.

I was only trying to let anyone interested in some of the firearms legislation efforts that are being introduced so they could read about if they wanted to.
