May 2023 Sharpshooter Series Announcement
Greetings and welcome fellow marksmen and markswomen. April is scored and in the books.
Once again, rimfire rules. If you haven’t yet and are considering print up a couple targets and join us.
We’re working on adding some new divisions, for the older firearms from simpler times. Being considered is the age, thinking 80 to 100 years old and possibly two camps, cartridge black powder and cap (flintlock anyone?) & ball black powder. Rifle and handguns of course. Your thoughts are always welcome. Thanks @jeffing65 for the idea.
A word on targets. If you’ve printed any target from previous months, hang on to them. Once each year we allow any previously approved target for submission. Could be next month, could be September, who knows? Including, but not limited to would be the infamous “Easter bunny”, deer, gopher. turkey, bat, beer bottles and now the duckies and progressive.

Back to basics for this month’s targets.
Five rounds for score. Shoot as many divisions as you wish but submit only one target per division.
You’re encouraged to only shoot one target, but it’s not against the rules to shoot as many as you want to get that high score.
Iron sight bonus stands for handgun and rifle divisions.
25yd rifle divisions shot with iron sights will receive a 2-point bonus.
50yd rifle divisions shot with iron sights receive a 4-point bonus.
100yd rifle divisions shot with iron sights will receive an 8-point bonus.
200yd rifle divisions shot with iron sights will receive a 10-point bonus.
HG-1 & 2 will receive a 2-point bonus.
