I own one that I bought through the CMP. It is Springfield Arsenal built originally with replacement parts from battle use and the date/serial number puts in the '41 range. It is a service grade rifle and shoots awesome groups, better then I can see, at 100 yds.
The Garand Collectors Association is a great group and reference point for all information on the M1. I shoot mine every now and then just to keep the parts moving. A great battle rifle from a great inventor used by the greatest generation.

I own an M1 and M1 Carbine. Norwich93cmp makes some great videos on YouTube for assembly and disassembly or both rifles.

M1 Carbine bolt removal without disassemble

@hrfunk
I see you have the cleaning block for the Garand receiver. I bought one and love it. Great video
