You won’t be disappointed….
I have been appointed as a judge for our church’s annual chili cookoff later this month.
I am still not sure if it is an honor or a punishment.
@TexasEskimo start drinking Pepto now lol. Your poor brown eye
I did not know there was another way but make it in a skillet. LOL
@em44052 I’ve never made it before lol. My assumption was some kind of baking or cake pan
A skillet or a Dutch oven in a pinch. Just as long as it is seasoned cast iron.
Oh and this is very important: cornbread-much like grits-will NEVER contain any sugar!!!
How bout honey? I think thats what granny used to put in ours, but we’re weird northern folks.
Nope! Grits ain’t ‘sposed to be sweet! My yankee girl cousins told me once they put sugar in grits the few times they tried them. But then, they also admitted they ate that Cream o’ Wheat crap with sugar so I sort of understood why… (but the very thought gives me the shivers!)
Now then, a good slice or two of ripe tomato with grits is perfectly acceptable and I highly recommend it!
I usually just slap a pat of butter on grits or cornbread, but maybe next round i will have to ask about the honey.
Never had that combo. I need to get out more. Yum!!!
Have you tried tartar sauce on fries……mmmmmmmm🍟
Single malt vinegar and cracked black pepper please for mine!
Sounds interesting…what brand vinegar do you prefer?
I’ll pick one up on Tuesday…when I get 3 for 1 points.
Mahi mahi , aka in Florida “Dolphin” and jumbo shrimp with your sauce

Peeled and deveined…looks great!
@LarrySr I lived in Hawaii for 4 years. Fresh Mahi mahi…
Ahem…that’s me mahi in the 80’s…
