I have just started investigating a home shotgun that is reliable and my wife can use. Seems like inertia semi-autos are a good choice. I see CZ has a couple . Be interested to know the opinions on inertia vs. gas
I have a Benelli M3.
It is my favorite shotgun, semi auto and pump, best of both worlds.
Flawless operation and a soft shooter for a 12 gauge.
When I was still on the PD, we upgraded our squad shotguns from the traditional Rem. 870 pump to Benelli semi autos. Faster to shoot and noticeably less recoil. Very high quality guns. Most squads now carry AR-15’s, but the Dept still retains some of the Benelli’s in inventory.
I bought a Frachi affinity compact in 20ga for my son. Only weighs 5lbs. Solid choice in my opinion. They are basically Benelli’s cheaper line. They make a few different models and gage options.
