Looked at this today and contacted my FFL to see if he can find one.

Thanks. I hope he can find one at a price I can stomach. I started out shooting revolvers. I enjoy the different skill sets to be accurate with a revolver.
Nice, but only 6 shots. You could get 7 shots with the 686+.
Expensive, too. The 686+ probably at least $100 cheaper.
Performance Center revolvers do tend to have better trigger pulls, but the 686+ is decent.
Either way, though, you will likely enjoy whichever you buy.
I have a friend who purchased a 686 Performance Center 5" .357
I purchased a standard 686+ 4" .357 from Bud’s
then I polished the trigger with a dremel and dropped in a Wison Combat trigger set
both of us agree that my kitchen table trigger job is smoother and lighter than his Performace Center special
no matter which model you get, you can’t go wrong with a Smith 686
