Good deal on red dots

Swampfox Sentinel for slim line pistols: I have seen great reviews, and if you purchase from their web site, you can get $55.80 off if you use the code wlsislife. My total with shipping was $231.20. This was for the auto adjust/ shake awake model.

I didn’t think this was to bad. (I got free shipping and no sales tax)
I ordered it, next day they verified the order, next day they shipped it. Pretty decent transaction.

I just purchased Hex dragonfly for my Springfield 9mm OSP. I love my Springfield hand guns. Have never shot handgun with optics. Curious as to any experience out there with Hex Optics?

Been seeing good reviews on this very affordable dot sight.
I ordered one a few days ago, it should be here tomorrow.

I may have to go with a circle dot on pistols. Having a hard time.
I love shooting 2-3 MOA dots on my rifles, but that’s not the same.
It’s very hard to find the dot, then I can’t stay steady. Inaccurate.

Both the Bushnell and the Swampfox seem to be good sights.
Might put them on rifles and try circle dots on these pistols.
I’m gonna shoot them again tomorrow and try to do better.
Any suggestions on red dots for pistols or how to use them?

His video was one of several good reasons to get the X2.

Thanks for this. I watched a few videos, will watch more tomorrow.
Very helpful and educational RDS series. I hope it will help me.

I’ve been looking at both the 507k-x2 and the 507c-x2 for a while.
While the bigger “C” would work fine, The cheaper “K” will as well.
Don’t really need the solar for the intended purpose of these guns.
So thanks for this suggestion, as well.

I used a bore laser and dialed in the Bushnell on the G3.
I was shooting it pretty good, keeping both eyes open.
It’s still a little hard to pick up, but it’s manageable now.
I may keep it on there a bit and practice until it feels right.

I guess it was so far off that the dot was gone, point aiming.
I had to search for it, then couldn’t tell where I was hitting.
Now when I point aim, there it is, just a little off target.

@ValorSolo
What bore sight do you use?
I have tried a couple but they were not very accurate. Or I was off.

Normally I use one of these.
Sightmark Triple Duty Universal Laser Bore Sight
I think it’s about a 1 in 1000 chance of getting a good one.
I guess I got lucky with mine as it is accurate.

I also have this kit.
Pinty Red Laser Bore Sight Kit for .22 to .50 Caliber
Usually not accurate, but did fine on this pistol.

I don’t know how to get a good one without trying it first.
One way to tell if it’s half way okay is to rotate it in the barrel.
And see if the dot makes a circle or stays in one spot.
