Glock Builders Thread

I’m building my first Glock. Never owned one, never built one.
AIM Surplus is having a great deal on Gen 3 G19 RMR cut slides.
https://aimsurplus.com/parts/glock-parts/slides/
Sniper Gray, FDE and Outdoor Green colors for $129.
I ordered a Green one. Just under $150 after shipping/tax.
I also ordered a PSA Dagger frame for about $85 total price.

I haven’t decided on a trigger or barrel yet. Any suggestions?
Also, will I need any parts kits? Or other items?

Also, show off your builds here.

Have a ZEV on one G17 wannabe and a Rival Arms on another. Both seem pretty accurate and were about $190 each.

For sure get some good extractors (Apex is good) and I went factory on the LPK, but have heard it both ways about oem kits. Someone here used Lone Wolf, but not sure on their results.

@ValorSolo What’s the grip angle like? Glock or straight?

I think that was me…no problems…:sunglasses:

I’m not sure. I think it is the same as Glock.

I have a poly 80 lower g17 build. I went oem lpk and polished everything. Changed the trigger shoe to a straight eBay special. Lone wolf barrel and UPK. I forgot where I got the slide but I’ll snag a picture for you when I get home. It’s a very simple assembly process and I had 0 Glock experience because I hate them. I just wanted to use the same mags as my sub2k.

There were rumors of you hanging out with some seedy individuals lately, we didn’t want to believe them but it seems they were true. Probably too late for an intervention… :grinning:

Dont worry, we wont tell Taurus…:shushing_face::wink:
Make sure your upper has a striker sleeve installed, many dont.
If you are going to shoot it a lot, or use steel case, i would definately go with an upgraded lonewolf billet extractor. Cast oems are prone to breakage.
While youre at Lonewolf, grab a 3.5lb connector and stainless guide rod/spring too.
The oem upper and lower parts will work just fine otherwise, once you polish em up.

I’m thinking about trying an Apex trigger. Anyone have experience with them?

My are nice and smooth. Got the kit with the trigger, spring and stop from Apex direct.

efkfirdradon also has nice great barrels for all pistols. Ported, threaded and standard.

The dark side is too tempting. But don’t worry, I’m not a Glock guy yet.

Lol. They might understand but let’s stay safe and don’t tell them.

If you really want full adjustability and flat face trigger go for it. I shot a friends’ and it didnt feel any better than a finely polished set of oem metals.

I’m still looking and doing my research. Probably won’t buy anything for a couple weeks.

I’m putting together a P80 right now.
I went for a Lone Wolf LPK and a Wuelf slide, barrel and UPK.
Truglo Tritium Pro sights. Should have it done in the next few days.

Pictures as promised. I need to get an optic or at least a cover plate. I went suppressor height sights too.

Looks like the Dagger comes with everything but the trigger.
That seems like a pretty good deal for the money.

I’m not a Glock fan. But I can see the enticement in these clone builds. Gucci Glocks as I hear them called lol

I’m now wanting my first Glock experience to be with the OEM trigger.
Want to feel how bad it is, then progress from there to maybe a drop in.
But I can’t seem t find a complete OEM trigger kit in stock anywhere.

That leaves me ordering a G17 OEM trigger and bar for the G19.
From what I’ve read, it’ll work fine, it will just be a smooth trigger.

I was going to wait a week to order all my parts but I just couldn’t do it.
Buying it all in one haul from AimSurplus cut down on shipping costs.
And overall they have the best prices for the combined shopping cart.

So I now have, I hope, a complete Gen 3 clone at an exceptional price.
I went with good quality budget parts for now. And will upgrade later.
If I see a need to upgrade. I may end up liking it the way I build it.

After work tonight, I will include a parts list with links to all I’ve ordered.
Maybe one of you guys can look and tell me if I’ve missed anything.

Not fair to define all clones as this, unless they’re really flashy, shiny, or highly decorated.

@Stircrayzy That example definitely fits the term lol

They were out of stock on the RMR Cover Plate.
So I’ll run it without until they get back in stock.

So what am I missing?
