So we finally found a keeper…
Meet Lucy. 1 yr old female Anatolian. Wife found her on Petfinder and fell in love. Don’t think she realizes how big Anatolians can get, but we got the space. The boy is walking on clouds to say the least right now.

She’s a year old and already knows basic commands and well house broken. Was great in the truck for the 1/2 hour ride home and pretty good on a leash. She spent her first night curled up at the foot of our bed. They said she’s crate trained, but I feel she’s too big for a crate nightly.
Otherwise, she’s an Angel. Total gentle giant.

Very nice! We never crate trained our dog, just never came up. We had the crate and it was more of a sanctuary/hangout spot for Ozzy so he would use it occasionally for napping then eventually we got a bed as he only rarely have an accident indoors.
We kept the crate for other times we might need it.
I also made a gate system to so that parts of the house could be inaccessible, depending, if we needed to.
