Failure Drill 2.0

This is kind of a crude training aid, but it’s cheap and fun.

Always informative, but it took a few moments to understand that “failure” meant a failure to end the threat. When we teach the basics, we teach recovery from “failure to fire” by “tap, rack, assess and bang.”

Thanks James. Nomenclature is an issue with this drill. I know it by at least 3 or 4 different names. “Faliure Drill” seems to be about the most common, so that’s why I used it. Sorry for any confusion.

No problem, sir. The “failure” was mine. You are speaking as a law enforcement officer primarily to other LEOs. As a civilian who follows the dictum of continuing deadly force until the threat is stopped, I just didn’t understand the use of “failure” until continuing to watch this great video. Looking forward to seeing more.
