CPX-2 spring kit installed now trigger does NOT reset...yikes

Got my kit and installed per video. Trigger does not reset unless I partially cycle the slide reward approx 1/2". No double action reset at all. Everything seemed to be interacting and moving correctly during the install process. All pins below flush. After the trigger break the trigger moves forward very slowly on its own. Weird. Seems apparent I’ve missed something. Or?? Any help is appreciated. Note, I have emailed Mcardo for assistance as well. Thanks,

Jim

Jim,
My best advice is to take it apart again. Something is not installed correctly.
Not the best news for you but we’ve all been there.
I tend to check/re-check at every stage of installation. This learned from previous errors.

Yes, thanks. I will. My gut tells me it’s the orientation of the new trigger reset spring. That is what I will look at first AM.

Thanks to all. Figured it out. I did NOT seat the trigger pivot fully. I left a ~1.5mm gap. Tried seating it with my thumbs like a 30 something. No. Needed a little more persuasion.

Trigger weight on my gauge shows a ~3.5# reduction. Far smoother. Me happy.

Cool, happy you got it figured out. It’s usually something very small but causes big frustrations!
Thanks for letting us know. :+1:t3:
