Anyone have any suggestions for a mid-range priced range finder? What are your favorites? Monocular?
@TexasVet I have had this Nikon Rangefinder for a long time and no issues, works great. I know I bought it on the cheap end.
I use a monocular when bow hunting but prefer the binocular type for longer range. Binocular type are easier for me to hold steady.
I haven’t bought a new one in a few years, and with anything that’s electronic, they improve on technology all the time.
My newest LRF is the Sig Kilo 2000. It has been a great LRF,and I’ve ranged large objects with it at over 2600 yards. It will range deer out to 800-900 yards.
My older Nikon 550 doesn’t range anything very well past 450 yards.
I picked up a used Halo Zir 1000 rangefinder, when my old one died, works fine for me…lil much for the distances here in the lowcountry but when i move back up into the high ground, I will use the upper end more… 6X magnification priced around $194 new
